Open House In Republic Held For Kafhrinebergs (By the Republic Correspondent) Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Kathrineberg of Republic were honored with an open house August 28 and the United Methodist church for their 40th wedding anniversary. Hosting the open house were their children: Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Novak, Belleville; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Marty, Herington; Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Kathrineberg, Salina; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Kathrineberg, Edgemont, S. Dak. Doris Walter and Clarence Kathrineberg were married at the E.U.B. parsonage in Republic August 27, 1939 by the Rev. Gertrude Pattibon. They have lived in the Republic community their entire married life. The reception table was decorated with a lace cloth over a ruby lining. Ruby candles flaked the three-tier cake, which was decorated with red roses. Assisting at the reception table were Mrs. Ray Nelson, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Kathrineberg and Debi Novak. Jeff Novak and Kyle Kathrineberg attended the guest book which was signed by over 150 guests. Other assistants were Lisa Marty, Becky Novak, Lori Marty, Kelley Kathrineberg. Tahlequah.
